My last post and layout for 2010! :)

This is also the last layout I made out of the November Just Desserts kit of Coordinates Collections. I made a total of 3 LOs. Woohoo!

The patterned paper from Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology line is actually called Beautiful Butterfly, but it's so versatile, I was able to use it for my little son's LO. It didn't come out feminine at all. Nice huh! :)

I applied Tim Holtz distress ink in peeled paint and broken china to the ink-resist paper. I loved seeing the effect take place! :)

Painted these Maya Road chipboard brackets using Tim Holtz Crackle Paint (picket fence).

Our Love

Here is my second output from Coordinates Collections' November "Just Desserts" kit. I was able to create a total of three LOs and I couldn't be any happier! Hahaha. Don't you just love it when you get to maximize a kit's contents? :D

The photo was one of our pre-nup photo shoots, taken a month before our wedding in 2005. How time flies. Now we have a two-and-a-half year old boy. :)

I love the result of this misted backgound ink-resist paper from Pink Paislee's Parisian Anthology collection. I used Glimmer Mists in red currant and sapphire, to match my and hubby's pink and blue shirts, respectively.


A close-up shot of my sentimental journaling, which used the following keywords: LO title (Our Love), cardstock label (Sweet), Karen Foster metal tag (Journey).

"Our love already faced several ups and downs. But we vowed to make every experience a part of our sweet journey... Together."


I sooo love this Prima flutter vine in pacific blue!


Another thing I love is the overall dimensional effect that this red ribbon created on my LO.

Good morning! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christ-filled Christmas! :)

Here's a post-Halloween layout of my little one in the penguin costume that he wore at my company's Trick or Treat event last October 29, 2010. The theme of our company TOT was animated animals in movies and the movie assigned to my department was Happy Feet. So my son wore a toddler penguin costume. It was such a fun occasion, not only for the employees but most especially for our kids! :)

Furthermore, the materials used in this LO are from Coordinates Collections October Black Magic kit, which I won in their October Blog Hop challenge.

Ain't my little boy a cutie in his penguin costume? Yes, indeed! LOL.

Furthermore, the purple patterned paper which I used as background really made the photos of my son stand out! :D


I had fun using Jillibean Soup's corrugated alphas (green) for my LO's title:


Very fortunate to have kept this paper cord in brown and violet intertwined colors! It complimented American Crafts' Boo purple polka-dotted patterned paper that I used as background.


Lastly, I had fun playing with the various embellishments that came with the kit, shown below.

Daddy: A Christmas LO and a WIN!

Christmas eve is just a few hours away! I'm done with my Christmas shopping, but not yet finished with gift-wrapping! LOL.

Here's a Christmas layout I made for my husband, Hubert, which is also our (my son and I) Christmas gift for him. We never got to spend the holidays with him (yet) as he's always based overseas because of work. We get to always enjoy the summer with him though. :)

Another sentimental LO that I made. I really miss my hubby and I can't wait for him to come home... soon. The message for my hubby below:


I hand-cut and inked the edges of these Christmas decors, attached them with gold brads and used foam tape for added dimension:


Intertwined the pearl strands with the green ricrac. Loved the result! The Maya Road bracket chipboard was painted with green acrylic paint and topped with Ranger distress stickles in pine needles. Love it! Hahaha. The silver stocking embellishment is from American Traditional Designs. Added also gold ribbon to emphasize the message that he (hubby) is all we want for Christmas (from Santa, as a gift):

Coordinates Collections December Blog Hop

First of all, this layout will be my entry to Coordinates Collections' December Blog Hop challenge.

The materials used in this layout are also from CC's November Just Desserts kit and add-ons, which are full of sparkly patterned papers and embellishments. This kit was PERFECT! :)

This LO is so sentimental and dear to my heart because it's about my maternal grandmother who just celebrated her 88th birthday last December 11th. This will double as a Birthday and Christmas gift for her. I can't remember how old she was when the photo was taken, but it was also during one of her birthdays in the past.

The challenge called for putting sparkle on your LOs. So how did I further incorporate this requirement in my Grandma's LO? Here are the close-up shots and details:

Sparkle #1: Maya Road swirl chipboards painted with acrylic paint in metallic bronze and sparkled with Jo Sonja gold dust. Also added a pc. of Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology Dangle (clear), two (2) pcs. of Jillibean Soup Sugar Picks in green/quartz which are part of the add-ons of the kit, and local lace with pearls. The lace itself is already shimmery, yet the pearls further added luster to it! :)


Sparkle #2: These Prima flowers truly sparkled with Jo Sonja opal dust. I looove using JS gold and opal dusts on my LO!


Sparkle #3: Alphabet stickers: when you want sparkle, go for the gold! Haha! :D


Lastly, I just want to highlight these packaging from Jillibean Soup and Prima that I re-used as part of the LO. With Scrapbooking, not only does one become creative, but we get to practice zero wastage at that! :)


And who said adding sparkle is only for Christmas- and winter-themed layouts? :D

Playtime!

Here's another layout which I created from Nikki Sivils' Willow Bee line. The first LO was posted here.

Looove this! No question about it, because I enjoyed playing with the patterned papers, especially cutting out the images, and lastly, it's another moment captured between my two favorite men bonding with each other. :D

A closer look on the multiple photos and journaling detail, which reads: My heart swells with love & pride every time I see the two of you bond together.



Cut out the bees and made them 3D -- totally enjoyed it. Look! I also painted the clouds to make them even more realistic. :D


Placed blings in the flower centers to make it lovelier.


There's a third (and last) layout from the same line to be posted next. For me, the third one's the best! :)

Another Card Project

I'm beginning to enjoy creating cards! Made this one in behalf of the colleagues in my department, to be given to our boss for his birthday this Saturday. :D

Some asked why I included flowers, considering our boss is a male. I said, there needs to be a feminine touch to the card because of fellow female colleagues in the department, and besides, the card creator is also female... me! Hehehe!

Materials used: Hand-made paper. Hambly transparency. Bo Bunny, Prima and All About Scrapbooking flowers. Prima blings. All About Scrapbooking chipboard greeting. Local blings and ricrac. Here's a close-up of the bottom part of the card.

Plenty of negative space for us to write our personal greetings.
